Have you ever wondered how our present life is so imbalanced that makes you doubt the existence of the almighty Gog altogether.In the olden days lets say the 16th century for example, our parents used to advise us to work hard in school as education is the key and they assured after school one would get a well paying job.To them with education everything was okay.We even saw in 1900s that educated people excelled in life.
However as time goes by things are changing. Population is increasing day by day. Millions of young people graduate every year. The employment agencies has it that the job slots are much lower to much the demand. Corruption and ethninism also contribute largely on the job allocation.That is why you can see people who are not learned securing good jobs in the government and some private sectors leaving the large number of qualifying young people to suffering from unemployment.
In other words success in life sometimes does not come as a result of good education, that is first class degree from the best universities.Success in life can as well come to a talented person lets say football for that matter. You can imagine how much an English premier league player can earn per week, a month and even a year. The fortune of a person can sometimes determine its success and failure of life. You can find for example a colleague who drop out in his second year of university due to lack of funds living a luxurious life driving the best cars while the graduates tarmacking for years.
However in life one must realize him/herself. whether leaned or not one must realize hi/her goals and purpose of life. Upon achieving this you can start from anywhere. After carefully examining yourself and find that you have persuasive and convincing skills then know that you can do a business.Now starting a business is not a big deal, i have seen people starting with $1 and making it to own large businesses. The thing is be self motivated and stick to your set goal in life.
I know of one person who never went to school in my country, started his first small business with a capital of one dollar that was hawking roasted peanuts. he did this particular gig for almost two years thereafter started a paraffin business. In the morning hours he operated the hawking business and later on the evenings till around nine he was live at the paraffin stall. In not more than six months he added some other goods related to the hustle, like match sticks and because he operated this in the village he was able to stock some food stuffs,detergents in small quantities and in a span of one year he managed to own a big shop which sold almost everything. He even sold the roasted peanuts in the shop and decide to operate it in full time basis. He opened a wholesale stall in his home town some years later and now the guy owns a chain of supermarkets one of the leading in the country in fact.
Therefore self motivation is very important for one to achieve a purpose in life.Do that thing your self esteem drive you to. Start from anywhere no matter how small that capital is you just go ahead with it. Today you have one and tomorrow you'l have two and so on. If you want to win on this, then you should refute out what people of your surrounding say about you. As usual they will judge you that you are misguided but at the end of the day they will not pay for your bills.Just press on it and on that fateful day will succeed.Those people who said ill against that so called weird gig now will adore and congratulate you for your success.
One of my finest days i started a gig of selling paper and parking bags. A business which cost me around $50 to start.I was hawking these staffs to shops, chemists and shops.I usually walked for around fifty kilometers daily operating the gig.It was such a nice hustle and do you know what i was making a kill on this. People who knew me as person who passed my exams in school began to look down upon me saying that i must look for a formal kind of employment otherwise that was a gig that must be done by illiterates. My self esteem was telling me that my success is on business and that is a just small fraction of my journey. I refuted their claims and that business helped me to start other big businesses then.
Some may say that i want to start a business but i don't have capital how can i go about this. Well a successful business is never started with a capital of worth millions.Always start with that small which you have it can be some pocket money from your parents or that money you have after you sold an item.I don't advise anybody to apply a loan for a business start.You can as well do some online tasks to get some money from them. Can you speak in public?
In the olden days when i was in primary school,i was such a very tiny boy, coward, silent and din't even know how to express myself. I was only determined in the class work and such a hardworking boy in a matter of fact. I did neither have a friend nor counter part. What i always knew and my parents always kept reminding me was to work hard in class an maintain the top three position in my class. I was very obedient for sure and at every end of the term results came out number one.
The head teacher of this school happened to be following my habits and behaviors without my knowledge. She loved the way i do my things at school and to my surprise she appointed me as the head prefect in my final year of primary education.I was stranded and even stacked not knowing where and how to start managing one thousand five hundred and something pupil's with that my weird personality that i possessed since childhood.I taught of rejecting the offer but it could not be accept at al.
It to came to pass a day that our school hosted like fifty other schools for athletes competition. As usual to this kind of gathering i was advised by the school head mistress to adress the crowd on how they should conduct themselves while in the school in terms of rules and regulations. explaining to them like where they should go to release themselves and such like matters. Guys i rose to my feet and started by greetings. After that i was point black and did not know what to say next.What surprised me even most was that my whole body was trembling like a leaf on a tree on windy and stormy day if i can put it that way. That was not enough i had tears rolling down my cheeks you may thought i had lost my close member of the family. What i try to explain is that i simply couldn't speak in front of a crowd naturally.
I knew i had a problem in expressing myself because at high school we had discussion groups on every subject, I happened to be placed in a group of five students where i was leading in terms of merit list among the others. This time round i knew certain concept of the particular topic we were discussing but i couldn't drive the point home so that they understand. Instead i kept quiet just listening to my group mates.
As days went by i taught about this thing curiously. I realized was not alone on this mess. It was not until on one of the school church services on a Sunday morning when the Cu patron ordered every person on the congregation to move forward and testify one by one. The patron added that God was so faithfully that he had done one or more things in lives of each and every individual in the church. This followed as just a few persons had been known to be testifying on every Sunday service like their daily routine. It was from this day that i saw people struggling to speak while others even walking away from the church.
However i was not happy about this as my dream career was to be a journalist a tv host to be specific. I attended seminars after school, interacted with different people from all walks of life tried to exchange ideas about the matter, i even did my own research not leaving alone doing direct interviews with people who had exorbitant experience on public speaking and managed to came up with the following outlined points which turned out to be my lasting solution to the long lasted problem.
Self confidence
First of all you must have outlined some basic points regarding the topic you intend to address about.If by any means you have not prepared for it because some speakers would just rise up to their feet surprisingly and mention you to address about something like in a meeting, then you should outline the basic points about the purpose of the meeting for example here and confidently present them to the audience.You must start with greetings, thank the master of ceremony for inviting you to the podium, Paraphrase the purpose of you being at the venue then remind people what they have been told/advised/ to go about the major purpose/aim of the meeting.Continue to remind them the date and venue of the next meeting and you finish by a vote of thanks to the audience. Make sure you have self confidence during your presentation. On other words you are sure of what you are talking about.
Check on the dressing code and physical appearance
Here the dressing code must match with the particular occasion. The speaker for example would put on an official attire when addressing official events such as during annual general meetings of institutions, staff briefing in organizations and so forth. The speaker shall on the other hand put on casual when addressing on staffs like birthday parties, baby-showers,beach parties,candle light dinners and etc.The dressing code matters a lot when it comes to public speaking as some people on the audience would just walk away from the venues upon seeing weird speakers.
You must have good communication skills
As the speaker of a certain topic for instance you must use a language that you are conversant of and that well understood by your audience.This will enhance the communication of your presentation. As you address make sure drive the outline basic points home. You can achieve this by drawing their attention by listening to yourself word after word until you get a pin drop silence in the particular venue.Also you can develop self tactics that deprives shyness from you IE you can move around the podium left,right and center in a decent manner to destruct the prying million eyes staring at you especially when you get that silence.Make sure you rise the voice to target specifically the last person that your eyes see at that venue.When the back benches get you clearly then no doubt that every individual in there hears you well. Also when addressing on particular aspects of life,make sure you express yourself in a manner that no body in there have no idea at all about what your talking about.By this virtue everyone will understand the concepts and principles you address.
A good public speaker would switch his/her facial expressions and mood depending on the occasion.Like if you are addressing to mourners in burial and send off ceremonies you must express sadness mood and a smile on happiness occasions.
Understanding your audience

You must use political or rather terminologies that relate to legal matters for example addressing a delegate of politicians,lawyers and that likes.Otherwise you use simpler terms when dealing with the ordinary members of public like an area chief addressing his/her residents.
